About Me
Adam Bleil is a trumpet and EVI player based in the Pittsburgh area. He is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he studied with Dr. James Moore and Dr. Timothy DeWitt. In 2015, he played in the NAfME All-National Jazz Ensemble, and in 2018 was selected for the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Jazz Orchestra.
Adam is currently a member of the acclaimed Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra. He is also on the faculty of the City Music Center at Duquesne University. Adam has played with several notable jazz artists, including Roger Humphries, Sean Jones, Michael Feinstein, and Warren Wolf.
Adam and his brother, saxophonist Clint Bleil, co-founded The Bleil Brothers, a jazz/fusion ensemble that has recorded two original CDs and has performed at various festivals including Picklesburgh, The WV Wine and Jazz Festival, and the Deutschtown Music Festival.
Adam’s trumpet influences include Kenny Dorham, Clifford Brown, Blue Mitchell, Sean Jones, and John Swana. Adam maintains an active schedule of freelancing around Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, and can frequently be heard leading his own jazz combos.
